Adapting PBL for Middle School: Part 1/2

Five Connecticut middle school science teachers reviewed and developed additional instructional materials for existing Problem Based Learning case studies (called “PBL Challenges”) as part of The New England Board of Higher Education (NEBHE)’s Problem Based Learning Middle School Redesign Project. In this two-part video, the teachers present resources and implementation suggestions that can be applied to any of the PBL Challenges. The teachers were especially excited about how the PBL Challenges fit well with the goals of the new Common Core State Standards. They also created Challenge-specific adaptation materials for two of the STEM PBL Challenges.
